【报告题目】： Recognizing simple groups using the codegree set

Abstract: We will review the history about a conjecture of Huppert which states that any non-abelian simple group can be recognized by its character degree set. We will discuss some recent developments of a variation of this conjecture proposed by Qian saying that one can also recognize a non-abelian simple group by using the codegree set.

【报告人简介】：

杨勇是Texas State University数学系的副教授，重庆文理学院巴渝学者特聘教授，三峡大学特聘教授。他于2009年在国际著名表示论专家Alexandre Turull教授指导下获得佛罗里达大学博士学位，已发表超过70篇的高质量研究论文，他的主要研究兴趣是有限群及其表示，组合学以及数论。杨教授于2013年成为Mathematical Reviews的评论员. 他现在是AMS JMM旅行基金委员会的主席，NSF REU Site的负责人以及伊朗数学进展杂志的编辑。他也是多个著名杂志的审稿人。
